- HOUSTON -- The Greenspoint Club announced today that it has received over 200 reservations for New Year’s Eve celebration, “DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER.” All net proceeds from the event will benefit Boys & Girls Country. The Club will also be honoring one of its long time members, Dr. Philip L. Leggett, who has raised over $1.5 million for Boys & Girls Country.
On Monday, December 31, 2007, The Greenspoint Club will host “DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER,” an extraordinary James Bond-themed New Year’s Eve Ball and Casino event. Join The Greenspoint Club in ushering out 007 and ringing in 008 in true James Bond style. Lavish decorations, a live band, Martini bar, and a Casino atmosphere will ensure a memorable party. Tickets are $135 per person. Cash bar or drink packages available.
As part of the grand event, the following festivities will take place: Four course dinner, including seared scallops, tenderloin, and lobster. Announcement of raffle winner for 2 ROUND TRIP BUSINESS CLASS TICKETS TO LONDON, generously underwritten by British Airways, including a two-night stay at the ClubQuarters Hotel. Raffle of trip to Las Vegas from Casino winners. About Dr. Phillip L. Leggett Dr. Phillip L. Leggett was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from Strake Jesuit High School in 1971. He then attended The University of Texas at Austin and obtained a B.A. degree and was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa upon graduation. Dr. Leggett then went to medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas graduated in 1980 and married his wife, Janet. He went to New Orleans, Louisiana and completed a five year residency in General Surgery at Alton Ochsner Foundation and completed his training as Chief Surgical Resident in 1985. Dr. Leggett and his wife had three children while in New Orleans, Philip II, Lauren and Lindsey. Dr. Leggett has been involved with the community and charity functions, despite a busy practice. He started a golf tournament to benefit Boys and Girls Country of Houston, Inc in 1986 which has raised 1.5 million dollars to help the children. More information is available at www.drleggett.com. |
